500 Osun residents to benefit from UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital’s free surgical outreach

As part of the social responsibility of the UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital Osogbo, the management  has concluded plans to commence a 2-day free surgical outreach for all interested persons to hold between Thursday 9th and Friday 10th December 2021, within the hospital’s premises.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of the hospital, Ayodele Adeyemo and made available to NEWS BOOM on Sunday.
According to the Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee of the hospital who is also coordinating the outreach,  Dr Babatunde Afolabi,  about 500 prospective beneficiaries have been planned to enjoy the medical largesse.

Some of the cases listed for the programme include hernia, ganglion, lumps, Cataract, pterygium, in-growing toe-nails and implant IUCD insertion among others.
In order to have a smooth arrangement, members of the public who are interested are advised to report at the General Outpatient Department (GOPD) Clinic, UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital, Osogbo between Monday 22nd to Friday 26th November for some important pre surgery preliminaries.
The two-day surgical outreach will hold on Thursday 9th December and Friday 10th December,  2021 in the hospital’s facilities.
