2021 Rising Stars U17 Female Basketball Championship: Osun Team Defeats Ondo to Claim Bronze

Osun Female Basketball Team were a point better than Ondo State as they won Bronze winning by 34-33.
The Coach Taiwo Ajibola Eleniyan tutored girls were the toasts of all spectators at the Indoor Sports Hall, National Stadium Surulere with the scintillating and fascinating displays.
After his girls claimed bronze at the Maiden Edition of Southwest Rising Stars U17 Female Basketball Championship, an elated Coach Taiwo Ajibola said that though he expected the girls to have won Gold Medal but he is still very happy with the Bronze Medal won.

“I must be sincere with you that the Bronze Medal won was due to the hardwork and dedication of the girls. It wasn’t an easy competition at all when you are competing against Southwest teams with better facilities than we have in Osun.”
” This is just the Maiden Edition and we won Bronze Medal. We are going home with the positives taken and we would work on our lapses to be a better team in the future.” Said Coach Taiwo.
He however took time out to thank Mr Olumide Oyedeji who organised the Championship and the Chairman, Osun State Basketball Association, Mr Opeyemi Babalola Webber who sponsored Team Osun to the Competition.
It is highly imperative that I give kudus to Mr Olumide Oyedeji, the man with the initiative to organise the Rising Stars U17 Southwest Female Basketball Championship for a job weldone.”

” It is also important that we say a very big thank you to the man who solely sponsored Team Osun to the tournament, Mr Opeyemi Babalola Webber who has been the shoulder for us to lean on. We are happy with your financial and moral supports at all time Sir.” Concluded Coach Eleniyan.
Adebowale Fathia, one of Osun Female Basketball Team players is among the top five players at the tournament.
