By Timothy Agbor, Osogbo
A cleric, Prophet Adeyemi Adeniran popularly known as “Baba Lésèkesè,” has felicitated with Christian faithful in Nigeria and across the globe on the celebration of Christmas and urged them to extend love to other believers.

For the man of God, Christmas signifies the love that God has for mankind by giving them His only son and then asked Christians to reciprocate the gesture by sharing their food, drinks and other valuables with their neighbours, especially non-Christians.

The clergyman, who is the founder of Great Tabernacle Miracle Church of God, a.k.a Mountain of Change, Ido-Osun in Osun State, explained the need for Nigerians to imbibe through love adding that there is peace in an environment that love dwells.

Adeniran urged government at all levels to use the season of Christmas to bring relief to Nigerians especially those in the North East and noted that this would show the populace of leaders’ love and concern.

He said, “God has shown the mankind great love by giving us the Saviour of the world at Christmas. Christmas thus signifies unquantifiable love that God showers over us daily. We can’t repay the Lord but we can show Him that we appreciate this huge love by showing others love.

“I therefore urge fellow Christians to show their neighbours love, especially adherents of other religions by sharing our food, drinks, and other valuables with them. Out country needs love at this critical moment and God loves where love dwells.

“My charge to government is to secure this nation from the grip of insurgency and other forms of insecurity. This will also goes to show Nigerians that our political leaders love and care for us. As we celebrate Christmas, I urge us to imbibe love and allow peace to reign. Let’s remember the needy and assist them in whatever way we can. I wish us all a Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year in advance.”
