A talented filmmaker, Mr Korede Olayinka has produced another film titled TIWA to advocate against the deadly practice of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and domestic violence.
In a chat with News Boom, Olayinka explained that TIWA is a true life story.
He said “TIWA is a story based on true life events. It is a piece wrapped around an African/ Yoruba belief about death.
“We have been seeing stories of dead people that are told basically from the perspective of sympathisers, family and friends but have we ever imagine seeing it from the perspective of the one that died?
“So, I created this piece based on what happens around me. As usual, I also exhibit my fight against Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and Domestic Violence.
“A story of a girl, TIWA, and her friends ADEBIMPE and AFOLAKEMI, they are young and promising, the piece depicts they have a lot to offer this universe; someone’s action makes them to be waiting for the one who will never come.
