Condemnation trails attack on Governor Oyetola during #EndSARS protest in Osogbo

Condemnation has trailed the attack on the Governor of Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola when he was addressing #EndSARS protesters in Osogbo on Saturday.
The Governor and his convoy were attacked at the protest ground at Olaiya junction in the state capital.
The Coalition of Civil Society groups in the state condemned in strong term the attack on the Governor Oyetola and other Government officials.

According to a statement issued by Waheed Lawal, Chairman of Osun Civil Societies Coalition, the reprehensible attack was orchestrated by some armed hoodlums who had infiltrated the EndSARS protesters.

“We dissociate ourselves from the attack, and anybody that participated in it.
“We call on the security agencies to investigate the circumstances that led to the attack and the earlier assaults on the EndSARS protesters today and that of Thursday by armed thugs,” the group said
