Enlist our children into NSCDC, old volunteers beg Buhari, Aregbesola

Top echelon and members of Osun State chapter of the old volunteers of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC) have appealed to the Federal Government and other concerned authorities to enlist their offsprings into the corp.
They argued that they were those that started the para-military organization voluntarily and that they deserved to be compensated with the recruitment of their eligible children.
Osun State coordinator of the old volunteers, Comrade Sunday Oyedokun otherwise known as Oye-world-wide disclosed this in Osogbo at a quarterly conference of Osun State chapter of the old volunteers of the NSCDC.
Comrade Oyedokun maintained that it was rather unfortunate that most of the old volunteer members of NSCDC that fought tooth and nail for the stability and growth of the corp, were not enlisted at the appropriate time by the Federal government after all.
Briefing newsmen in Osogbo shortly after the meeting, Comrade Oyedokun implored the Federal government and the interior minister Mr Rauf Aregbesola to see to the plights of the old volunteers, whose membership have reduced drastically as a result of death due to old age.
He implored the Federal government to consider the children of the old volunteers who are agile to be enlisted into the NSCDC,stressing that by so doing unemployment among the youths would reduce drastically in the society.
Mr Oyedokun implored coordinators of the old volunteers in all the states of the federation to send a meaning representive to the Interior Ministry and plead passionately for their qouta in the on-going recruitment exercise into the Nigeria security and civil defence corp.
He emphasised that most old volunteers of the corp suffered alot before the proper enactment of the NSCDC, hence the concerned authorities should put smile on the faces of those that stood their ground and used their personal money to let the paramilitary organization see the light of the day in Nigeria.
Oyedokun on behalf of the members of the old volunteers of the civil defence showered encomium of the commandant general and the interior minister for upholding the giant strides of the Nigeria security and civil defence Corp in the country.
