APC to citizens: Don’t be deceived by opposition parties, Osun is progressing, peaceful
By Ekene Agbor, Osogbo
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun state has asked citizens of the state not to be deceived by politicians from the opposition parties over the achievements of Governor Gboyega Oyetola.
According to the ruling party, the state is progressing, safe and peaceful under the administration of Oyetola, contrary to what other members of political parties are saying.
The party therefore warned all evil perpetrators and trouble brewers that may want to fan the ember of enmity and disunity to immediately change their minds and attitude in the new year.
The APC said: “Osun is peaceful and will continue to be peaceful as we all know the state as the most peaceful State in the Federation.”
It urged every evil-minded person and those that are riot-oriented to relocate themselves from Osun as 2020 ends to allow every good citizen of the state to enjoy dividends of APC-led government.
According to the goodwill message issued from the party’s Directorate of Publicity, Research and Strategy and signed by its Director, Barr. Kunle Oyatomi on Thursday, Oyetola has recorded progressive achievements in the last twenty-five months.
While praising Oyetola, the APC enumerated the achievements which include 332 health centres in all Wards across the state, massive road construction, Agricultural development, Public School reformation, Dagbolu International Trade Centre, Osun Ethanol Bio- Refinery factory, workers and pensioners welfare, Security of lives and properties.
Oyatomi said, “If anyone take holistic look at what Oyetola has done in Osun, it will be vividly seen that there is tremendous progress in the state of Osun and it is visible.”
The APC chieftain amplified the National Coordinator of RAMP Projects, Engr Aminu Mohammed Bodinga who recently commended the governor and ranked Osun as the best performing state among participating states in Nigeria in the World Bank Rural Access and Mobility Project 2 in the country.
Oyatomi explained that Oyetola-led APC government has exhibited high-level of prudence and performed beyond people’s expectations despite the lean resources coming to the state from the Federation account.
He added that the commendation by the RAMP National Coordinator is explanatory enough to clear doubts that Oyetola is a prudent manager of resources.
“As we all know that the state of Osun is safe, peaceful and progressing in the hands of Progressive-led government headed by Gov. Oyetola, people of the state are therefore enjoined not to allow themselves to be deceived by the politicians from the opposition camp, especially those that had been given opportunity to serve the state in the past, but failed woefully,” he added.
While felicitating with the people of the state as they enter the new year 2021, the APC urged all and sundry in the state to be resolute in their support for Oyetola-led APC administration, in all its programmes and policies, tailored to take the state to the next level.
