Flood destroys Umualor community in Enugu, renders residents homeless

Scores of indigenes of Umualor community in Isi-Uzo Local Government Area of Enugu State have been rendered homeless following devastating flood that wreaked havoc in the area.
It was gathered that the community had witnessed about four hours torrential rainfall which necessitated heavy flood that washed away properties and damaged farmlands.
About three days after the destruction, no succour had come the way of victims of the flood.

An indigene of the community who took to his social media handle to raise the alarm, Edeh Ebenezer Nnamdi, called on National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to rescue affected residents.
 
He also urged the State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, to come to the aid of victims who have lost their homes and properties to the flood disaster.

“We need  serious help from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA). Our lives and properties are at danger point right know.
“Rescue is all we need from government of Enugu, Rt Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyu, the executive governor of Enugu state. We know that you can do something to the people of Umualor,” he said.
