Why I conferred chieftaincy title on Dele Momodu for free – Oluwo

A traditional ruler in Osun State, the Oluwo of Iwoland, HIM Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has revealed that he conferred Are Title on a renowned journalist, Chief Dele Momodu without collecting money from him.
Oluwo said he was convinced to give the title for free because got a ‘spiritual message’ from God to honour Momodu with the chieftaincy title.
Oluwo made the disclosure yesterday in his palace square during the installation of Dele Momodu as the Aare and his wife, Mobolaji Momodu as Yeye Aare.
Oba Akanbi stated that the pronouncement was a directive from God, 3-years go at Bowen University, Iwo when he met Momodu at the premises of the institution unexpectedly.
Oluwo said he respected the message to honour God. He said the way God spoke to him was exceptional and a testimony that Momodu is a man of God. He disclosed the divined message convinced him to give the title for free.
He described Dele Momodu as a disciplined man who grew up and sustain an his Honourable lifestyle. He tasked him to use his title to harness development in Iwoland.
“Dele Momodu got the Aare Title in a divine but unexplainable circumstance. I was in Bowen University for a program and accidentally met Dele Momodu at the institution campus. Without premonition, I pronounced Aare. I kept pronouncing it repeatedly. He was surprised too. I then instructed my press secretary, Alli Ibraheem to make a statement. I never pay attention but still wondering, why Aare? Most times, I don’t get the meaning and implication of my message immediately. Even, my ardent lovers don’t comprehend instantly but the few deep do. God told me to confer Aare Title on Dele Momodu”
“The inspiration I got convinced me to honour him free of charge. God told me i need him to take Iwoland to the promised land. And for the short period even before his installation, I have been seeing the impacts. The primus is the facilitation of the rehabilitation of Iwo-Ibadan road by the Federal Ministry of Works,” the traditional ruler said.
