The alumni association of the Catholic Students of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife will hold its 2022 Lenten Retreat on Saturday, March 19.
According to a statement signed and issued on Friday by the Public Relations Officer of the OAU Catholic Alumni Association, Mr Timothy Olatunde Adekunle, revealed that the Retreat will hold virtually at 8:00pm.
Adekunle urged all members of the alumni body to watchout for the link to join the spiritual programme on the association’s WhatsApp platforms.
He disclosed that a priest form the Catholic Diocese of Osogbo, Rev Fr Samuel Atoyebi is the guest speaker on the Lenten Retreat theme: “I Will Leave This Place And Go To My Father (Luke 15:18).”
“The Lenten Retreat of the OAU Catholic Alumni Association has been slated to hold on Saturday, March 19, 2022, by 8pm (Virtual event). The Lenten season affords us an opportunity to connect back to God, for many, it’s a personal bond time to re-evaluate one’s relationship and grow deeper with God.
“The hustles may take away our time, but the retreat can rejuvenate and refresh our minds towards God. Our personal encounter with the Father for a moment might be the right step to re-programme our mind to the purpose, journey and life we are called to live.
