By Timothy Agbor, Osogbo
The caretaker chairman of Ife North Local Government Area of Osun State, Hon Adeyeba Ayoola has graded some roads roads in the council area.
Ayoola commended the state governor, Adegboyega Oyetola for being a good manager despite paucity of fund, saying “his performance is incomparable.”
According to a statement by the HOD Social Development and Information Department, Mrs Bisi Silas of the council and made available to newsmen at Yakoyo, Oke-Osin in Ife North Local government, Ipetu modu, some roads in AkinIalu, Asipa, and some parts of Ipetu modu of the council area have been graded by Ayoola.
He said, “Many people have been asking me why I am paying special attention on grading roads in rural areas. Because we have graded some road in AkinIalu, Asipa, and some parts in Ipetu modu, Ife North local government. I believe that opening up of rural areas will make it easier for farmers to transport their agricultural products to towns at cheaper cost.
“A situation where rural farmers pay high cost of transportation because of bad roads leading to the urban centres or cities to sell their products discourage many people to engage in farming in rural areas.
“Grading of rural roads will also help give people living in the areas, a sense of belonging, so that they will not think that the local government has abandoned them,” he said.
The chairman said he was determined and committed to fulfil all campaign promises made by the governor, which included rapid infrastructural development and others.

Meanwhile, residents of the area said they were very happy about the roads which have been impassable for many years as erosion had washed them off. They said they are happy seeing the roads being constructed.
Jacob said the condition of the road in the past years had almost cut off the community from other communities in the area. He now commended the governor and the caretaker chairman for the work.
He begged the people in the community to vote Oyetola for second term because of the good work he has been doing.
Hon Adeyeba Ayoola and his Vice chairman, Hon Ibraheem Olayiwola also urged the people in the community to vote for Oyetola so that the good work will continue.
