Indigenes and non-indigenes of Enugu State under the umbrella of Enugu Dinma Forum, have thrown their weight behind the presidential bid of a former Governor of Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi ahead of the 2023 general elections.
The canvassers, who are based in Enugu, while armed with placards bearing different inscriptions in support of Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of Labour Party, stormed Michael Okpara Square, Enugu, on Monday, from where they took-off for the rally, lending their voices to those of others across the country, soliciting votes and support for Obi.
The rally which witnessed mammoth crowd started from Okpara square to New Heaven, from Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium to the stadium.
Dr. Afamefuna Atu (Echeribe) among other guest speakers affirmed that, “Peter Obi is a father, a precision economist, a role model in terms of quality and representative leadership. He has done well as a two-term governor of Anambra State and of course, we want him to replicate what he did then across the country starting from 2023. We are solidly behind him on that.”
Fielding questions from newsmen at the sideline of the solidarity walk at Presidential Road Enugu, the DG who is also the Convener, Nzuko Umu Ntorobia Na Enugu East 2022, Mazi Humphrey Edeh (Ijele Ndigbo) said, “He (Obi) is a father, a precision economist, a role model in terms of quality and representative leadership. He has done well as a two-term governor of Anambra state and of course, we want him to replicate what he did then across the country starting from 2023.

“He is a father and a man of impeccable character. A precision economist, a role model in terms of quality and representative leadership. He has done well as a two-term governor of Anambra State and of course, we want him to replicate what he did then across the country starting from 2023.
“This is a man who has a lot of people of northern extraction who worked closely with him in Anambra. We know he has built integrity for himself which a good number of northern leaders have attested to.
“In a bid to contribute our own quota towards the success of this dream, we urge all bonafide citizens of Nigeria to get their PVCs ready so that at the end, we’ll celebrate victory,” he added.
