Afro Basketball Championship: Adeleke hosts D’Tigress Champion, Adenike Olawuyi, promises support

It was an eventful meeting on Thursday night as the Governor of the state, Senator Ademola Adeleke welcomed a daughter of the state who was part of the victorious D’Tigress Team that won the 2023 FIBA Afro basketball Championship, Adenike Olawuyi.
Adenike, who was elated meeting the Governor in the company of her ever dynamic grassroot Coach, Taiwo Ajibola Eleniyan couldn’t hide her joy as she was beaming with happiness.
The Governor of the state in company of the Secretary to the State Government, Teslim Igbalaye lauded Adenike Olawuyi for representing the state well at the competition.
” We are extremely happy for the success recorded by the D’Tigress and our happiness knows no bounds because we have a daughter in the team.”
“Adenike, we are so proud of you for your exploits in the team. We want to implore you not to relent. The sky surely is your stating point. Like I always say, our government will do everything to support sports development in the state.”
The governor also took time out to praise coach Taiwo Ajibola Eleniyan.
“Coach Taiwo Ajibola Eleniyan, you have done well for yourself and the state at large. If you need anything, please, don’t hesitate to let us know.” Concluded Governor Adeleke.
