Eid-el-Kabir: Osun NAWOJ felicitates Muslims, calls for unity

Osun Chapter of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists NAWOJ has felicitated Muslims on the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir and urged Muslims faithful to uphold the tenets of Allah in the spirit of unity.
In a release issued on Tuesday, by the State Chairperson Mrs Motunrayo Ayegbayo and the Secretary Comrade Abisola Ariwodola, the association said, “Allah loves peace and unity, hence walking in his part and obeying his commandments to love our neighbours as ourselves, thereby living in peace and harmony.”
The statement added that promoting peaceful co-existence with each other and people of other faiths, shunning violence and religious conflicts in whatever form have spiritual benefits.
“Everyone in the state must come together to ensure that they work in unity by making the state safe for all, irrespective of class or strata. Religious intolerance must be disposed and uncaring security attitude and lack of forgiveness must be nipped in the bud.
“The will of God which Eid-el-kabir commemorates is for everyone to be together in unity, this will give way to growth which is pivotal to development needed by all. Let’s all support the government to ensure that the state continues to enjoy peace and progress,” the statement added.
