Osogbo Central Hospital situated at Oke-Baale area of Osogbo, capital of Osun State has been rated as the best hospital in the state.
The national meritorious award was bestowed on the hospital by Centre for Ethics and Self Value Orientation, an international Non Governmental Organization that is focused on promoting ethical leadership, exposing corruption, ethical education and value re-orientation of global citizens.
The privately owned hospital was ranked as the most ethically responsible and corrupt free Hospital in Nigeria.
Osogbo Central Hospital is enlisted among the top (100) highly rated most ethically responsible/corrupt free Hospitals in Nigeria genuinely committed to quality and basic Health and Ethics Compliance.
The hospital was honoured for corporate integrity, staff/patients discipline, Health Ethics compliance, Clean Environment fiscal discipline measure, participatory management style, equal opportunity for youths, Ethical Uprightness, CSR. Compliance, Quality Health Equipment and administrative efficiency.
OCH received the award which came alongside a corporate certificate and signed by the Executive Director of the Centre, Prince Salih Musa Yakubu.
Yakubu, in company of other executive members of CESVIO visited Osogbo Central Hospital to honour the hospital and the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Akin Ajayi on January 17, 2024.
Decorating Ajayi with the award muffler, Yakubu said Osogbo Central Hospital is the best in Osun State, one of the top 20 Hospitals in Southwest, Nigeria and one of the top 100 highly ranked/most ethically sound and corrupt free hospitals in Nigeria.
The NGO also honoured the hospital’s CMD, Dr Akin Ajayi with the award of Ethical Leadership and Conduct Compliance Certificate.
Dr Ajayi was honoured and enlisted amongst top 100 winners of Nigerian most ethically responsible/least corrupt Professionals in Hospital Management Award Recipient 2023/2024.
He was commended for delivering quality healthcare services to people in Osun, South West and Nigeria at large.
Reacting to the double feats, Dr Ajayi said, “This is another evidence of our commitment to providing quality healthcare for all and we will continue to put in our best in ensuring that the nation gets it right in the health sector.”
