Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Honourable Timothy Owoeye has affirmed the commitment of members of the state Parliament in doing everything within the ambit of law to complement series of life transforming programmes and initiatives embarked upon by Governor Adegboyega Oyetola’s administration.
Owoeye made the commitment in Ilobu, Irepodun local government area while Commissioning three motorized boreholes in Ilobu, Erin-osun and Ifon Osun, that were constructed by the member of the state parliament representing Orolu/Irepodun state Constituency, Honourable Babatunde Olateju.
The official Commissioning programme similarly afforded the state house of Assembly presiding officer the opportunity to observe a symbolic presentation of the empowerment items bought by honourable Babatunde Olateju  and highlighted frantic and timely  efforts of Governor Oyetola’s administration in fixing and making Lameco area Osogbo road to Ilajue/Oyo state boundary motorable.
He said it is sacrosanct for dwellers and inhabitants of Irepodun/Orolu  to work round the clock and ensure they galvanize massive votes for Oyetola during the July 16 governorship election.
Honourable Owoeye had earlier commended Olateju for the provision of the empowerment items for his constituents. He equally informed the beneficiaries and the party leaders of the state constituency that Olateju is an upright and trustworthy father whose  contributions towards the continued peace and progress of the assembly are indelible.
Presentation of items
In his address, the organizer of the programme, Olateju, said provision of boreholes is to ensure regular water supply in his constituency.
He also explained that the donation of empowerment items for artisans, farmers and petty traders is basically to give back to the people of his constituency with a view to supporting them.
In their submissions, the former member representing Orolu/ Irepodun state constituency, Hon. Kamil Oyedele and Evangelist Oluremi Wilson said despite the fact that the state parliament members do get money to finance constituency project, Olateju’s kind gesture is commendable.
