The Association of Veteran Journalists, Osun State chapter has described the Supreme Court affirmation of the election of Governor Ademola Adeleke as a rekindled hope in the capability of the judiciary to deepen democracy in the country.
The association, in a statement signed by its chairman Adepoju Atobatrle and secretary, Olusola Ajiboye lauded the Supreme Court justices for standing with the legitimate choice of the people as freely expressed on the july 16th 2022 governorship poll in Osun State.

It urged the people of the state to give maximum support to Governor Adeleke in his efforts to reposition the socio-economic and political paradigms of the state and meet the expectations of the people.
While advocating an all inclusive administration as fulcrum of governance, the association charged Governor Adeleke to bring on board men and women of proven integrity who are committed to the progress and development of the state.
The veteran journalists specifically noted the good starting point of the new administration and charged it not to deviate in addressing critical issues of infrastructure, job creation, education, agriculture and security.
While wishing the governor a successful tenure, the association expressed hope that with adequate support of the people, Osun State would witness a new birth of progress and development.
